Workshops & Events
KNOW HOW is an ongoing series of workshops, classes and events that bring the world of Knit Wit off the page and into your town.
- Open to all abilities — beginners warmly welcomed
- Weaver extraordinaire? Challenge your skills
- Spend an afternoon with likeminded knit wits
Steeped in fiber admiration, but don't know your knits from your purls?
Weaver extraordinaire, but looking to challenge your skills? Or do you just want to spend an afternoon hanging with likeminded knit wits? Whatever your reason — and whatever your ability — welcome to the newest, best way to connect with all things Knit Wit.
A workshop series built around fiber and community offers something for every kind of maker, from total beginners to seasoned textile artists. The gatherings are designed as welcoming spaces where curiosity is encouraged and skill levels matter less than enthusiasm. Participants can expect a relaxed, friendly atmosphere where questions are part of the process and shared learning becomes its own reward.
For those still finding their footing with needles and yarn, introductory sessions provide a gentle entry point into the world of knitting and crochet. Guidance covers the fundamentals of basic stitches, simple project structures, and selecting materials that suit first attempts. The goal is to leave with a finished piece and the confidence to keep exploring at home.
More experienced makers can find sessions that lean into technique, texture, and design challenges across fiber arts such as weaving and embroidery. These gatherings often focus on refining specific methods, experimenting with color and pattern, or tackling constructions that stretch creative range. They are intended for participants who want to grow rather than simply practice.
Beyond structured classes, the program also includes social meetups that celebrate craft as a shared pastime. An afternoon spent among fellow enthusiasts offers room for conversation, inspiration, and the simple pleasure of working alongside others. The underlying spirit is community, where the act of making becomes most enjoyable when it brings people together.
